Jakob Junis Diagnosed With Hamstring Strain
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants right-handed pitcher Jakob Junis (hamstring) was removed from his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday. He has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and he is set to undergo an MRI on Saturday. According to Giants beat writer Maria I. Guardado, there is some concern amidst the organization that Junis could require a stint on the injured list. Junis wound up with the win on Friday after holding the Dodgers to five hits, one walk and two earned runs over five innings. He is now 4-1 on the year with a 2.63 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP.
