The Chicago Blackhawks fired almost 50 shots on net but were shut out by the Vancouver Canucks by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday night. During Chicago’s five power plays, Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom was peppered with 10 shots in the short-handed situations. Patrick Kane (25 goals in 57 games) had eight shots in the game, while Dominik Kubalik (22 in 55) had seven. The Canucks took the win but managed just 20 shots on net. Brandon Sutter had one of his best games of the year with a goal and two assists. He now has goals in two straight games. Bo Horvat and Andrew Gaudette had the other goals for the Canucks.
