Jacob deGrom Could Resume Throwing Soon
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (forearm) is "improving," according to manager Luis Rojas. "Some of the tightness has diminished and some of the range of motion has gotten a little better." deGrom could resume throwing soon after going back to New York for additional treatment on his right arm. This is great news for the Mets and fantasy managers everywhere, as it looks like the ace right-hander won't need a lengthy stint on the injured list. Despite various arm issues throughout the year, the 33-year-old two-time Cy Young winner continues to be lights-out with a 1.08 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, 1.24 FIP, 146 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 92 innings over 15 starts in 2021. He's a must-start each time he toes the rubber, even in his first start back from the injured list, whenever that may be.
