Jackson Holliday Beginning To Start Playing In The Field
5 months agoBaltimore Orioles second base/shortstop prospect Jackson Holliday (elbow) is set to begin playing partial games in the field over the next several days, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. This is part of his scheduled rehab progression, as he recently recovered from elbow inflammation. Holliday was activated off the injured list on June 25 but has strictly been serving as the designated hitter in the minors. The top prospect in baseball got a small taste of the major leagues earlier this season but struggled through his 10-game stint. Since July 1, the 20-year-old has been swinging a hot bat at Triple-A Norfolk with a .297/.469/.541 slash line and is on the verge of returning to the big leagues.
