Jackie Bradley Jr. Drawing Plenty Of Interest
4 years agoFree-agent outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. is drawing interest from the Phillies, Cubs and Blue Jays, among other teams. The 30-year-old is coming off a 2020 season in which he posted a 118 OPS+, his best mark since 2016. The Red Sox also remain interested in re-signing Bradley despite recently adding outfielder Hunter Renfroe. "The door is definitely not closed on adding to the [outfield] mix," general manager Brian O'Halloran said. Bradley finished last season with a career-high .283 average as well, and he's an excellent defender in center field. He remains a defense-first player despite his solid 2020 season at the plate. Bradley's hot-and-cold stretches at the plate can make him difficult to roster in fantasy leagues, but he should be able to land an everyday job outside of Boston.
