Jac Caglianone Tallies Another Three Hits on Wednesday
Jac Caglianone went 3-for-4 with a double on Wednesday for Triple-A Omaha, although with his recent obliteration of Triple-A pitching, Tuesday's 0-for-5 is potentially more noteworthy at this point. Through eight games for Omaha, the 2024 sixth-overall draft pick has gone 12-for-35 (.343) with five home runs, now with a .326/.387/.599 slash line with 14 home runs, a .428 wOBA, and a 160 wRC+ over 46 games between Double and Triple-A. Also noteworthy is that in four of the eight games at Triple-A, the Royals' top prospect played outfield instead of DH or first base, so it looks like Kansas City is trying to open up additional paths to the majors. It shouldn't be long now until he makes his major league debut, likely within the next month or so, and managers looking for a power boost should consider stashing the 6-foot-5 slugger ahead of time.
