J.D. Davis Continues To Rake During Rehab Assignment
3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman J.D. Davis (finger) went 4-for-6 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI for Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday night. Davis now has seven hits in his last 12 rehab at-bats with five extra-base hits. The 28-year-old is on track to rejoin the team when the second half of the season begins this Friday, so fantasy managers should be looking to add him if he's still available on the waiver wire. Davis has been out since early May with a sprained middle finger, but he was slashing .390/.479/.610 with two homers and seven RBI in just 41 at-bats before his injury. Playing time could be a concern with Jonathan Villar entering the All-Star break swinging a hot bat, but Davis is worth speculating on.
