Chase Briscoe of Stewart-Haas Racing will start 12th in this week's Go Bowling at the Glen at Watkins Glen International after qualifying. This is the highest starting position to date for Briscoe in the Cup Series at Watkins Glen. In three races at the site, Briscoe's best finish was ninth in 2021, which was his only finish inside the Top 20 in his career at the New York road course. Through 27 races so far this season, Briscoe has one win and seven top-10 finishes. Briscoe's best finish on a road course so far this season was 13th at COTA after starting 32nd. In practice, Briscoe ranked ninth of all drivers in overall and 15 consecutive lap averages. While the No. 14 Ford driver is a usable option for DFS and likely to maintain a position inside the Top 15 based on practice speeds and equipment, there are better alternatives around his price range with more upside to favor this week. This is especially true with Briscoe's inconsistent finishes in the Cup Series at WGI. --Sean Engel - RotoBaller
