Igor Shesterkin Good To Go Saturday
New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin (upper body) has been confirmed as the starter for Saturday's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres. Shesterkin sustained an upper-body injury on Feb. 7, but he ended up missing only one game due to the 4 Nations Face-Off break. The Rangers No. 1 has struggled lately, losing four of his past five starts. This has dropped his record for the season to 18-19-2. He has posted a 2.87 goals-against average with a .906 save percentage and three shutouts. On Saturday, Shesterkin faces a tricky matchup, as the Sabres have gone 4-1-0 in their past five games, averaging 4.4 goals during that stretch.
