New San Diego Padres outfielder Greg Allen is starting and batting ninth Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. Part of the blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Indians for starter Mike Clevinger, Allen will immediately see action with Wil Myers (undisclosed) surprisingly added to the IL. The 27-year-old San Diego native offers little offensive value with a 68 career wRC+ across four big league seasons.
