Giants Sign James Washington To Practice Squad
2 years agoThe New York Giants signed former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver James Washington to their practice squad on Wednesday. Washington was expected to have a significant role in Dallas' passing game to begin the year, but he fractured his right foot in training camp and didn't make his season debut until Week 14 and ended up playing in two games for the Cowboys, finishing without a catch on one target. Dallas picked up veteran T.Y. Hilton late in the year and didn't really have a need for Washington at that point. New York's receiver depth is lacking, but even if the 26-year-old Washington is brought up to the active roster for the postseason, he's highly unlikely to see much action on the field.
