Giants "Hopeful" Malik Nabers Will be Ready for Week 1
New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen is "hopeful" that wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) will be "ready from the jump" for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season in September, according to Dan Salomone of Giants.com. "Like I always say, we'll see," Schoen said. "As long as there's not a setback or whatever it may be, optimistic Week 1, he'll be ready. But again, you just never tell with these things and how they're going to react or if there's any setbacks. But he's in a good spot right now mentally and physically." Nabers actually has a chance to be good to go for Week 1 since he suffered his torn ACL in his right knee way back in Week 4 in 2025. Fantasy managers will have a better read on the former sixth overall pick's availability for the coming season once training camp gets underway in late July. Despite coming off a major knee injury, the 22-year-old has youth on his side and should continue to have high-end WR1 upside in fantasy with young QB Jaxson Dart after he caught 127 passes for 1,475 yards and nine touchdowns in his first 19 NFL games.
