Giancarlo Stanton Adds Home Run In Extras
7 years agoAfter New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge’s mammoth two-run home run broke a lengthy deadlock, Giancarlo Stanton added insurance at the Rogers Centre. Taking on the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night, Stanton stepped up to the plate in the 13th inning with a two-run lead. Ahead in the count, last season’s National League MVP ripped a line-drive home run to left field, his third in five games, increasing New York’s lead to three runs. It was Stanton’s only hit of the night, moving his home run total to 14 this season alongside 33 RBI and a .251 batting average.
