Geronimo Allison: Not Actually Green Bay's WR3
6 years agoI know that Aaron Rodgers is fully capable of supporting three fantasy relevant WRs. Even with Jimmy Graham in town, the Packers' WR3 should have enough fantasy value to be worth owning. Please don't think it is going to be Geronimo Allison. I have no idea how he posted the second highest yards of separation at target last season at 2.54 because in every other efficiency metric, he was horrendous. Perhaps we can chalk it up to small sample size given that he only saw 39 targets all season. Allison was not a prolific college producer and is a very limited player with a 26th percentile catch radius and sixth percentile agility. Simply put, Allison is bad at football. If you think the Packers still plan to move forward with Allison as their WR3, I would remind you that the Packers drafted not, one, not two, but three consecutive WRs in J'mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown. I happen to like ESB the most of the bunch, but one of them figures to usurp Allison as all three are far superior talents. Do not waste your time or literally any draft pick with Geronimo Allison.
