George Springer Hitting .127 Over Last 102 At-Bats
6 years agoHouston Astros outfielder George Springer is still working his way out of a long slump and has two multi-hit games over his last four played. Otherwise it has been a very tough stretch for the slugging leadoff hitter and has not hit a home run since June 20. Springer is hitting only .127 over his last 102 at-bats and has driven in only four runs during that span. Two areas of concern is Springer's lack of success this season against right-handed pitching (.373 slugging) and hitting with runners in scoring position (.408 slugging). In 2017 Springer was dangerous, slugging .513 against righties and .537 with runners in scoring position and became one of most feared top of the order hitters in the game. Fantasy owners should have faith that he can bounce back but this has been a disappointing first half for Springer.
