Frederik Andersen Tries to Bounce Back in Game 2 Against Panthers
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen is set to make his 11th start of the postseason in Thursday's Game 2 against the Florida Panthers, aiming to improve a 7-3 record. The Danish veteran has had an excellent playoff campaign with the Hurricanes, but faltered in the Eastern Conference Finals opener on Tuesday night. Carolina started the series with a 5-2 loss, as Andersen allowed five goals on 20 shots. Entering the contest, he had given up as many goals over his prior four starts. Despite having a bad day at the office on Tuesday, Andersen still boasts fantastic numbers, with a 1.74 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. He has yet to lose back-to-back games this postseason and will try to get back on track with a strong effort Thursday.
