Freddie Freeman Not Going Anywhere In A Trade
3 years agoWhile there's a chance that the Atlanta Braves become sellers at this month's trade deadline because of all the unfortunate things that have befallen them, first baseman Freddie Freeman isn't going anywhere. Freeman is still one of the best first basemen in the league and wants to stay in Atlanta long term. The 31-year-old is slashing .274/.381/.489 halfway through the 2021 season, adding 19 home runs, 58 runs scored, 50 RBI and even four stolen bases in six attempts. Atlanta's lineup lost a crucial component when Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL recently, but Freeman remains a high-end fantasy asset. Don't expect him to change uniforms later this month.
