Fred VanVleet Breaks Out Of Slump With 33 Points
2 years agoToronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet delivered a big bounce-back performance on Monday against the Knicks, leading the team to a 123-121 overtime victory with 33 points. He had been limited to just three points in the previous game against Atlanta and VanVleet had gone for just 39 points in total in his last four games. It wasn't all about scoring either for him on Monday, as VanVleet added five rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks to his line. He finished with 10-for-23 shooting from the field and had a 5-for-13 record from three-point land. Can the 2022 All-Star now go on a scoring tear? VanVleet gets a new game already on Tuesday against the Bucks. He has already played them once this month and almost posted a triple-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in an overtime loss on Jan. 4.
