Francisco Lindor Picks Up Another Hit Thursday
4 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk in the Mets 4-3 loss to the Padres on Thursday. Lindor now has a modest six-game hitting streak going and appears to be on the verge of finally busting out at the plate. Over his last seven games, Lindor has slashed .345/.367/.552 with a home run, three RBI, and eight runs scored. Additionally, he has raised his batting average from .182 to . 211 during this six-game streak. With Lindor's bat heating up, his buy-low window is beginning to close. With the bats of Pete Alonso, Dominic Smith, and James McCann also finally starting to heat up, Lindor should likely thrive hitting at the top of the Mets lineup over the summer months. Notwithstanding his slow start to the 2021 campaign, he should provide managers with the production they anticipated when he was drafted within the first two rounds of fantasy drafts in the early spring.
