Detroit Red Wings left wing Filip Zadina was recalled from Grand Rapids of the AHL on Friday night. He will make his NHL debut on Sunday afternoon against the San Jose Sharks. Zadina was the sixth-overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. While there were some growing pains as he adjusted to the professional level of hockey, he has come into his own over the past few weeks. In his last 10 games with Grand Rapids, he has five goals, six assists, and 31 shots. Zadina will not play in a top-six role right away, but he is going to be on the second power-play unit. The Red Wings are likely going to give him nine games at the NHL level before sending him back for the AHL playoffs. If he played more than nine games, he would burn a year of his entry-level contract. Zadina will have far more fantasy value next season, but he can be utilized as a streaming option in deeper leagues during his first stint with the Red Wings.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBallerRead More News
