Evan Engram Gets Questionable Tag
3 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) is listed as questionable on the final injury report for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. Engram missed practice on Thursday but was able to return to the field on Friday, so he at least has a chance of suiting up on Sunday with the rest of the team's pass-catchers also injured. The 27-year-old enters the week as the No. 40 fantasy tight end, which is saying something at the weakest position in fantasy, and he's still searching for his first touchdown of the season. However, with receivers Kenny Golladay (knee) and Kadarius Toney (ankle) ruled out and with Sterling Shepard (hamstring), Darius Slayton (hamstring) and John Ross (hamstring) all questionable, Engram could be one of the few healthy pass-catchers available if he's active on Sunday. That puts him in the low-end TE1 range as a bye-week replacement if he plays against Carolina.
