Evan Carter Posts Three More Hits
Evan Carter went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 16-4 win against the Minnesota Twins. The Tennessee native also drew a walk, singled twice, and scored four runs in the rout. Carter homered for the second time in as many games when he blasted his third of the season -- a two-run shot -- off Twins' reliever Justin Topa in the top of the sixth inning. That'd make it 10-3 Rangers, but Carter wasn't done yet -- singling home teammate Corey Seager to drive in his third run of the contest two innings later. The 22-year-old has three hits in back-to-back outings and logged another two batted balls in excess of 100 MPH. He's scored and plated five runs over the last two games, and the recent hot stretch has brought his average up to .255 (13-for-51) through 17 appearances.
