Eury Perez Likely Making His Final Rehab Start on Tuesday
Eury Perez (elbow) is scheduled to make his eighth (and likely his final) minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, FishOnFirst.com reports. Perez was lights-out in his last rehab start, going five innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four. He'll likely look to push his pitch count up to the 75-85 range Tuesday, and if all goes well, it could be his final outing in the minors before making his return from the 60-day injured list. Perez has been sticking to a standard five-day rest schedule between his recent rehab starts, so if that pattern holds, it's possible he could make his 2025 Marlins debut in the three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates, which begins on June 9, and is a smash spot for fantasy managers. Perez is a must-add in all formats, as he is one of the more electric young arms in the league. In 2023, which was his first taste of MLB, he logged 91 ⅓ innings with a 3.15 ERA, 10.64 K/9, and a 1.13 WHIP as a rookie.
