3 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez is receiving a second straight day off on Thursday against the San Diego Padres and left-hander Ryan Weathers. Suarez has struggled in the last week, hitting just .111 (2-for-18) with 13 strikeouts and a solo home run, so it seems as though this is why he's getting a little extra rest this week. He's also struggled against lefties in 2021, going 8-for-64 (.125) with two of his 16 home runs and seven RBI against them. Fantasy managers may want to continue benching him this weekend until he shows some signs of life. Alejo Lopez is at the hot corner and is batting sixth against Weathers on Thursday. Lopez is 1-for-4 this year after making his major league debut earlier this week, and he has just nine home runs in six minor league seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
