San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson ended Tuesday's 6-5 shootout loss versus Anaheim with his first career hat trick. The former Norris Trophy winner grabbed two goals already inside the first seven minutes and completed his special night with a late goal that helped the Sharks get a point on the board from the contest. Karlsson also had one assist, becoming the second blue-liner this season to register a four-point performance. The Sharks star already boasts nine goals for the year after bagging 10 during the whole of last season, and he's sitting sixth in the league's scoring charts with 15 points. It's been an incredible start to the season from Karlsson, who has recorded nine points in his last three games alone. He will look to match his career high with a fourth consecutive multi-point outing Thursday against Florida.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
