Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins stopped 32-of-34 shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 victory against the Hurricanes, as the 25-year-old earned his third consecutive win during the month of January. Merzlikins improved to a record of 7-6-4 to go along with two shutouts, a 2.50 goals against average and .922 save percentage through 19 appearances. The surging Blue Jackets currently hold the second wild card position in the Eastern Conference playoff picture — with a large part of their success being credited to the rookie netminder. Merzlikins has settled in as the primary goaltender for the team as a result of the unfortunate injury and meniscus surgery goaltender Joonas Korpisalo underwent at the beginning of the new year. Merzlikins should be owned across all fantasy formats with his current stretch of dominant performances, and will look to continue the winning ways when the Blue Jackets take on the Devils in a favorable matchup on Saturday.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
