Elly De La Cruz Falls Double Short of Cycle
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 6-1 win against the New York Yankees. He also singled, tripled, and scored twice. The fantasy superstar was a menace on Monday, blistering a triple that hit the bottom of the wall in center field at 109.8 MPH to plate Cincinnati's first run in the fourth inning. He'd score a batter later on a sac fly to give the Reds their first lead, and drive in another RBI with a single a frame later to increase it. Then, in the eighth, De La Cruz capped his massive performance when he poked a ball the opposite way over the right-field wall for his 18th homer. He's been superb thus far, and well on his way to his first 30-30 season.
