Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson scored his first career hat trick on Wednesday, killing the Senators off 4-3 in overtime. He became the seventh rookie to score a hat trick that included an overtime goal since regular-season overtime was reintroduced in 1983-84. Pettersson also posted a new franchise record, scoring the most game-winning goals (7) as a rookie. It's been an amazing year from the Swede, who just turned 20 in November. He has 22 goals and 42 points for the season in 37 games. You can give him the Calder Trophy already.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
