Eduardo Rodriguez To Make Rehab Start Thursday
1 year agoDetroit Tigers left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (finger) will make his first minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on Thursday. Rodriguez threw a live batting practice session last weekend and is now ready to pitch in the minor leagues. The 30-year-old southpaw will need at least several rehab starts after not pitching for the Tigers since May 28. E-Rod needs to be rostered in all fantasy leagues after going 4-4 with a strong 2.13 ERA (3.15 FIP), 0.97 WHIP, 16 walks and 67 strikeouts in 67 2/3 innings in 11 starts before landing on the injured list. He is trying to return from a pulley injury on the index finger of his left hand.
