Dolphins, Packers Were Willing To Pay Jonathan Taylor Handsomely
1 year agoThe Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers were both willing to give Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) a contract that placed him among the highest-paid RBs in the league entering the 2023 regular season, according to a source. The Colts hung onto Taylor and placed him on the Physically Unable to Perform list -- he has to miss the first four games of the year -- but it doesn't preclude the team from trading him away during the season. However, general manager Chris Ballard said on Wednesday that the Colts want to repair their damaged relationship with the 24-year-old All-Pro and still value him. For now, Taylor's fantasy stock has plummeted because of his surgically repaired ankle and he's become an RB3/flex pick in fantasy drafts this weekend.
