Dodgers Interested In Lucas Giolito
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers are interested in Chicago White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito, who is one of the top available pitchers this summer, according to sources. Giolito went to high school in Los Angeles and has a solid 3.45 ERA (4.21 FIP), 1.14 WHIP, 34 walks and 117 strikeouts in 112 1/3 innings over his 19 starts. The Dodgers have a league-best nine of the industry's top-100 prospects as well, so they'll have plenty of ammunition to find notable upgrades to their roster this summer for the starting rotation or elsewhere. The 28-year-old Giolito makes the most sense because of the fact that he's scheduled to become a free agent after the 2023 season, so the Dodgers may want him as a rental for a postseason run this fall. Giolito's fantasy value would only increase with a move to a much better team.
