DeVonta Smith Held In Check In Week 15
12 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught all five of his targets for 50 yards during the team's 17-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. It was the lowest yardage total the 25-year-old has had since Week 7. Philadelphia focused on running the ball at a higher rate, with quarterback Jalen Hurts at less than 100% due to an illness, leading to a down game for all of the Eagles pass catchers for fantasy purposes. A.J. Brown saw double the targets in Week 15, and tight end Dallas Goedert drew nine, leaving Smith at third in the pecking order. This will not always be the case, but it is important to remember that he can take a backseat to these two, depending on the game plan. The former Heisman winner will remain a WR2 in Week 16 against the New York Giants.
