DeVante Parker Could Surprise This Year
1 year agoESPN's Dan Graziano says not to be surprised if New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker has a big year in 2023. The former first-rounder by the Miami Dolphins in 2015 had an outstanding training camp as the team's top receiver and could put up some big numbers in offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien's scheme. In just one of Parker's previous eight seasons has he managed to stay healthy over the course of a full season, though. Little seems to be expected of New England's offense after they imploded in 2022, so Parker could be a late-round sleeper that hits if he can stay on the field. The 30-year-old averaged 17.4 yards per catch with the Pats last year. Parker has the size to do damage, but he's going to need more volume this year to pan out.
