10 months agoToronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Davis Schneider did some outfield work over the winter and will be focusing on second base and left field in spring training this year. Cavan Biggio, Santiago Espinal and Isiah Kiner-Falefa will be options at both second and third base for Toronto in 2024, which means Schneider may have to move to left field in order to stay in the lineup consistently. The 25-year-old's bat certainly played up in his first 35 big-league games in 2023, as he hit .276/.404/.603 with a 1.008 OPS, eight home runs and 20 RBI in 141 plate appearances. However, he finished just 2-for-35 to end the year and struck out 30 percent of the time. Schneider showed some interesting skills with the stick in Toronto last year, but playing time could be an issue in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
