David Fletcher Stays Hot At The Dish
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman David Fletcher went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the Angels 7-6 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Fletcher has carved out a nice role for himself on the Angels this season, a player that can play a multitude of positions and can hit anywhere in the lineup. He now has hits in 15 of his last 19 games and has backed up a strong start to his season by slashing .313/.367/.482 in the month of May. He should continue to get regular playing time but buyer beware from a fantasy perspective. His exit velocity (84.2) on balls hits is well below league average and is hitting only .250 with runners in scoring position this season. Fletcher is, however, a productive player right now and could serve as a depth piece on fantasy teams in deeper formats and AL-only leagues.
