Darius Slayton Barely Plays In Week 18
2 years agoWith the New York Giants resting most of their starters in a meaningless Week 18 regular season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, wide receiver Darius Slayton played only three offensive snaps and wasn't targeted at all. Lawrence Cager led the G-Men in receiving on the day, securing eight of his team-high 10 targets from quarterback Davis Webb for 69 yards in the 22-16 loss. The Giants face the Minnesota Vikings on the road on wild-card weekend, and the 25-year-old Slayton will return to being one of quarterback Daniel Jones' top targets in the passing game. Slayton led the Giants in receiving in 2022 with 724 yards and two touchdowns on 46 receptions. In the Week 16 loss to the Vikings, he had four catches on six targets for 79 yards.
