Danny Duffy Behind Other Starters
Danny Duffy has been dealing with left shoulder tightness in camp and played catched on Monday and Wednesday with no issues. However, his readiness for the start of the season is in question and he is behind the other pitchers in his progression. Duffy thinks he'll build his arm strength quickly once he gets back on the mound, hopefully in the next five to six days. As of now, either Brad Keller or Jakob Junis are the favorites to start on Opening Day for KC. Duffy went 8-12 with a disappointing 4.88 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 8.2 K% last year in 28 starts (155 innings). On a bad team and with an arm injury in camp, fantasy owners won't be rushing to draft him in shallow mixed leagues.
