Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Daniel Mengden takes the mound in hopes of locking down the series sweep of the Blue Jays. In 2018, he has had very good control but lacking in strikeouts which doesn’t make him a great fantasy asset except in H2H leagues to control the ratios. In 50 innings, he is 3-4 with a 3.75 ERA with only five walks and 36 strikeouts. To check past performance, Mengden only has one career start against Toronto and it was not pretty at all. He lasted 3 1/3 innings allowing seven runs, six earned, while only striking out two and walking three batters. Albeit risky, Mengden should be a decent streaming option as he has been better as of late and the Blue Jays offense has been stumbling.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
