Daniel Jones Getting More First-Team Reps at Colts Camp
Anthony Richardson Sr. and Daniel Jones between the first and second teams so far at training camp practice, but Jones has gotten more work with the first-team offense, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. Richardson and Jones are battling for the starting QB job this summer after Richardson missed some spring work due to an aggravation of his surgically repaired right shoulder. Richardson has since been cleared for camp, but the Colts will be mindful of his workload, which should allow Jones to work a little more with the starters. Jones, the former sixth overall pick by the New York Giants in 2019 out of Duke, threw 24 touchdowns as a rookie but was never able to reach that level again in his six years in the Big Apple. Richardson has the much higher fantasy ceiling, but the Colts could opt to go with stability at the position to open the 2025 season.
