D'Angelo Russell Matches Season High With 30 Points
2 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell took advantage of a favorable matchup and matched his season high with 30 points Monday against Houston. He was on fire from deep with a 6-for-12 effort and shot 11-for-23 from the field, although it wasn't good enough to save Minnesota from being the first team the Rockets have beaten in nearly a month. Russell completed his line with three rebounds, seven assists, two steals and four turnovers. The 25-year-old has hit some offensive form lately, averaging 26.0 points per game across the last three matchups. He's a steady source for assists as well and could pile up plenty of dimes in the next matchup against a New Orleans team that is giving up the third-most assists in the league to points guards.
