D'Andre Swift Rushes For 80 Yards In Win Over Bills
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back D'Andre Swift took 14 carries for 80 yards and caught his lone target for a four-yard gain during the team's 37-34 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. The 24-year-old did not get much going in the first half and lost some reps to both Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell early. However, once Gainwell miscommunicated with Jalen Hurts on a handoff that resulted in a turnover, Swift saw the majority of reps for the remainder of the game. The only genuine concern for the former Detroit Lion was his lack of pass-game involvement. Gainwell saw more snaps in obvious passing downs. Whether this remains the same moving forward remains to be seen, but there is no denying that when the Eagles want to run the ball, it will go to Swift nine times out of 10. Swift will remain an RB2 next week, even against a tough San Francisco run defense.
