Dameon Pierce 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Pierce Carries Little Fantasy Value Entering 2025
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce has seen a steady decline in production since rushing for 939 yards as a rookie in 2022. His rushing yards have decreased each of the last two seasons, and the team brought in veteran Joe Mixon last year to be the team's bellcow back. This has relegated Pierce to a reserve role in Houston's offense. Pierce was set to battle 2025 fourth-round pick Woody Marks for the Texans RB2 job, but the team recently signed Nick Chubb to a one-year deal. Given the success Chubb has had throughout his career, he figures to become the team's backup to Mixon. That means there will be few rushing opportunities for Pierce once again this year. He likely retains his role as a kick returner on special teams but offers fantasy gamers little value. Unless injuries strike the Texans' depth chart, Pierce won't be on the fantasy radar in 2025.
