Cowboys Expect Dak Prescott To Be Around A "Long Time"
1 year agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan that the team expects quarterback Dak Prescott to be "with us a long time." Prescott's current deal expires after the 2024 season, and he'll carry a $59.4 million salary cap figure next year. It doesn't look like the two sides will come to an agreement on a new deal before Week 1 of the regular season kicks off. There's a little more heat on Prescott now after his disappointing 2022 campaign and the fact that the Cowboy recently traded for former first-rounder Trey Lance several weeks ago. Still, it would be surprising if Prescott didn't eventually sign a new deal to remain in Dallas for the foreseeable future beyond 2024. Entering this year, he's a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers.
