Corey Seager Gets A Hit In Second Rehab Game
2 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring) went 1-for-3 with a run scored while serving as the designated hitter on Friday in his second minor-league rehab game for Double-A Frisco. Seager is expected to play seven innings at shortstop on Saturday, and barring any setbacks, there's a chance he'll return from the injured list to play for the Rangers on Monday in the series opener against the Atlanta Braves. He has been on the shelf since the middle of April with a left hamstring strain, but fantasy managers should get the All-Star shortstop back soon. Before the injury, the 29-year-old was hitting .359 (14-for-39) with four doubles, a home run and four RBI in 11 games. When Seager is back, he'll be a must-start in fantasy lineups.
