The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 4-2 on Sunday night as Connor McDavid returned to net a goal and two assists. He also matched teammate Leon Draisaitl with a game-high six shots on net. McDavid now has 31 goals and 84 points in 56 games. Draisaitl, who also scored, has seven goals in the past eight games and is two points away from hitting the century mark for the second straight season. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins found the back of the net and now has three goals over his past two games. He’s one point away from hitting the 50-point plateau. Mike Smith had another strong game in net for the win. He’s now allowed three goals or fewer in 11 straight games. Adrian Kempe had two assists for the Kings in the losing effort.
