Cleveland Lands Amed Rosario, Andres Gimenez, Others
4 years agoCleveland is trading away shortstop Francisco Lindor and starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco on Thursday in exchange for shortstop Amed Rosario, infielder Andres Gimenez, right-hander Josh Wolf and outfielder Isaiah Greene. Rosario, who has a career slash line of .268/.302/.403 with 32 homers, 148 RBI and 50 steals in four seasons, should have a better chance for everyday at-bats in Cleveland with Lindor out of the picture. Rosario and Gimenez were two of the Mets' highest-rated prospects in the last decade. Gimenez is highly regarded for his glove and hit tool, batting .263 in 49 games in 2020 as a rookie. Wolf and Greene were New York's ninth- and 10th-ranked prospects, respectively, according to MLB Pipeline. Wolf was a second-round pick in 2019, while Greene was the 69th overall pick in 2020.
