CJ McCollum Runs The Show Against Washington
2 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum produced his third-highest scoring total of the season in Monday's 132-112 win over Washington, hitting 12-for-21 from the field for a 34-point night. He was 4-for-8 from downtown and 6-for-6 at the foul line, adding five rebounds and one assist to his tally with two steals and one block. The 31-year-old is now averaging 29.0 points per game for 2023. He has taken full advantage of the absences of Zion Williamson (hamstring) and Brandon Ingram (toe). Zion definitely won't be returning anytime soon and there hasn't been any news of Ingram's imminent comeback either, so McCollum should remain New Orlean's top dog for the foreseeable future.
