San Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva smacked his 10th homer of the season Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies. Villanueva provided a two-run blast in the sixth inning and finished the day 2-for-3. He lined a single on Monday night to escape a dreadful 0-for-37 slump and has three hits in his last two games. Villanueva's dry spell sank his average all the way from .348 to .226, and he's now slashing .238/.316/.525 on the season with 22 RBI along with the 10 bombs. With Villanueva's floor and ceiling now established, he should remain a serviceable fantasy player if he maintains a degree of consistency. The Padres are committed to him as their everyday third baseman and he continues to pound left-handed pitching (1.470 OPS).--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
