3 years agoThere was no sign of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) at the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday. McCaffrey has been limited in the last four practices as he recovers from his hamstring strain, so this isn't a good sign as he hopes to return in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. The star running back has missed the last two games and was considered 50-50 to return this Sunday after he was limited again on Wednesday. Rookie Chuba Hubbard has operated as Carolina's lead back the last two weeks with CMC sidelined, running for 158 yards on 37 attempts while also catching seven of his eight targets for 47 additional yards. It's unknown if McCaffrey has suffered a setback, but we will surely know more on Friday. Hubbard would once again have RB2 upside if he makes his third straight start.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
