Chris Carson Could Be A Good Play In Week 8

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson looks like he has a dream matchup on the surface this week, but there are some risks associated with that. First, Seattle's coaching staff seems dedicated to using a platoon of 2-3 running backs to handle the carries. Carson has lost carries to both Mike Davis and Rashaad Penny, and everyone's healthy coming off the bye, so there's the possibility that Carson will get snaked on some touches, especially critical goal line chances. Second, the easily gashed Lions run defense just upgraded this week by trading for "Snacks" Harrison, one of the highest rated run defenders in the game. His late arrival to Detroit should limit his usefulness in his first week with them, but it's still a possible concern. That said, the possible reward of Carson against one of the softest run defenses in the league is too much to pass up.
